Tough. I do know that RS tees with these prints were on modern Fantasy tags. They were made by the grags72 guy, who said his family made the original shirts. I recall a few years ago seeing someone in a thrift store going through a rack of fake fantasy tees in a store somewhere in Europe, likely France. So they made their way to Europe first.

Not long ago I approached grags72 asking if a particular print with a sus fantasy tag was his, and he couldn't even tell me, whereas previously he was able to. So even he is confused by it.

There's a big variance between OG fantasy tags, that's the problem, and also between the fake ones.

The rule of thumb that I generally thought made sense was that if you could see the outline of the t-shirt through the FANTASY logo, then it was fake. You can see it with these.

I'll send to Max for input on whether these were even on fantasy tags.

But generally, anything on this tag, just due to the quality and small size, not a ton of value, so fantasy tags not on my radar, but if you come up with anything to determine, let me know.

It's true that if you compare the RN number size, is smaller on these ones than the ones you got on the archive, that's another difference I've noticed.

Try finding these prints with what we know are legit tags and look for any differences.

This is one I’ve found on wyco, unfortunately has no tag. This one got back hit and can be observed some differences, like the flower print on the jacket instead of stars.

And also I’ve found this one on your archive https://www.defunkd.com/product/JI13654 ... t-shirt-s/ and has other tag. It also has back hit as the one of wyco.

Cannot find any comp for the dragon tee.

With the one you linked above on Defunkd you can def see some loss in quality - in their faces, oddly, two of their faces are worn out, so maybe they botched that and purposely messed with the print before or after printing to cover it up? i dunno just spitballing. But see if you can find others on Fantasy tags with the exact same print "mishap" or wear.

I agree, the details of the faces it’s so obvious. Well coincidentally I’ve found 2 of them exactly the same model on legiteem8 app, voted as legit hahaha you can find them by filtering for Fantasy tag. Here can be used the rule you mentioned, see through.

Yeah this is so muddled now. It reminds me of the seds situation where no one even knows what's real and what isn't. lol. To get to the bottom of it I think someone would need to review the shirts in person, make sure they have a legit fantasy shirt from the 80s and compare the actual shirt - because I hightly doubt the new ones would be as crappy quality as the old ones. The old ones had such a low thread count you could stretch them and it would become obvious which one was actually the OG.
