Nirvana Bleach era t-shirt

Post by zaxxon25 »

My wife purchased this from Jason Everman at the July 15, 1989 show at Green St Station in JP, MA. Nirvana opened for Death of Samantha. Always wondered if it could somehow be authenticated, or if it would be impossible and should just stay a memory in her bag of t-shirts from back in the day.

Most definitely can be authenticated!

The one drawback is the size - HANES L, 80s can be quite small which limits the people who can fit into it.

What's the pit to pit in inches?

Is she looking to sell?

Any other tees she stashed away?

looks like 18 inches pit to pit.

I'm not sure if she would sell, some of these do have emotional value to her but I don't know which ones. Just got me thinking when I pulled a Squeeze shirt out of here for her, they played earlier this week.

There's a bunch of bands in here, not many popular. Mercury Rev, Poster Children, Helmet, Dambuilders, Codiene, Sea and Cake, Terrastock 97, Doughboys, Einsturzende Neubauten, Tar, Grifters, Big Audio Dynamite, GWAR, God & Texas and a handful of other local Boston scene bands of the day. The other valuable one is The Clash but I know she'd never sell it.

I have no doubts it's authentic.

But yeah as you can see that 18" chest limits those who can wear it.

But if she ever decides she wants to sell let us know.

Until then, keep it in a drawer, out of the sunlight, ha.
