This is an interesting tag, an was immediately skeptical of it - rarely see the size below the logo like that.
BUT, believe this t-shirt is 2003 era- so that would explain why I'm not as familiar.
I went through our database (which when created, was only for t-shirts before the 2000s) and did find one example of it:
