I’m posting this to document my experience with @quepasavtg after purchasing a vintage T-shirt.
The estimated delivery date passed without anyone coming to my address or contacting me. I immediately contacted the seller and explained that there had been no delivery attempt.
The tracking later showed supposed delivery attempts on July 14, 20 and 21, 2026. None of these attempts actually happened. Nobody rang my doorbell, called me, sent an SMS or contacted me in any way.
There was also a major inconsistency in the tracking: after the first supposed attempt, the shipment was already shown as being returned to the sender, yet additional "delivery attempts" appeared afterwards.
I contacted the seller immediately. He told me he had contacted eBay and the shipping companies to try to locate the package. eBay eventually closed my case in the seller's favor based on the tracking information.
I subsequently contacted DHL and CTT myself. DHL provided generic responses and indicated that CTT was responsible for the delivery. CTT later confirmed to me that the package had been returned to the sender's facilities.
The seller then told me he had contacted YunExpress and would receive further information within 24–48 hours. I asked him for the result of that enquiry, but received no response. I have repeatedly had to contact him myself to obtain updates.
When I asked the seller about the refund, his response was that I should continue dealing with eBay and that, if I was entitled to a refund, eBay would make that decision. He has not offered me a refund independently and has continued directing me back to eBay.
I have already appealed eBay's decision and explained the inconsistencies in the tracking and the fact that there was never a real delivery attempt. Meanwhile, CTT has confirmed that the package was returned to the sender's facilities.
I am sharing this experience so other buyers can be aware of what happened. I have kept the tracking information and communications with the seller, eBay, DHL and CTT, and can provide documentation to support the facts described above.
I am still willing to resolve this privately. I simply want a refund for an item I never received.

Re: Item never delivered / refund dispute
Due to the lack of resolution, I intended to make my experience public, he suddenly told me that eBay had allegedly informed him that I had refused the package because I did not want to pay the VAT.
This is the first time throughout this entire situation that the VAT has been mentioned to me as the alleged reason for the failed delivery.
This is particularly surprising because I have been asking for information about the seller's communications with eBay and the shipping companies for weeks. If eBay had actually provided this information to the seller, I would have expected it to be mentioned much earlier, especially when my original eBay case was being reviewed.
I have asked the seller to provide the communication or evidence from eBay supporting this claim. I have never refused a delivery because of VAT, and I was never contacted at my address and given the opportunity to accept or refuse the package.
I will update this thread if the seller provides evidence supporting this new claim.

Re: Item never delivered / refund dispute
UGH, some of these smaller couriers do this kind of stuff, then it's impossible to get answers from them.

Re: Item never delivered / refund dispute
**UPDATE: Seller has now blocked me on Instagram**
I have now discovered that @quepasavtg has blocked me on Instagram.
This happened after I publicly shared my experience regarding the undelivered order and after I asked the seller to provide evidence supporting his claim that I allegedly refused delivery because I did not want to pay VAT.
I have repeatedly asked for documentation showing that eBay actually provided him with this information, as I categorically deny refusing a delivery or refusing to pay VAT. I have not received any evidence or further response from the seller.
I am documenting this simply as part of the timeline of events. I am not claiming that being blocked proves anything about the VAT allegation. However, it is notable that the seller has stopped responding to my questions and has now blocked me on Instagram after I requested evidence supporting his claim.
I will continue to document the situation using the communications and evidence available to me.

It sounds like the courier lost it. And of course he's probably equally as suspicious of your side because it shows as delivered. This is a tough one.

Re: Item never delivered / refund dispute
Just to clarify, the package was never marked as delivered. The tracking shows it was returned to the sender, and CTT confirmed this to me.
There was never any delivery or rejection on my part. Every time I’ve asked DHL or CTT for evidence confirming that I rejected the package, they simply tell me to contact the sender.
What I find unfair is that I’m the one left without the item and without a refund, while the seller simply tells me to wait for eBay’s decision and provides no information about the latest enquiry he made with YunExpress.
The VAT claim also appeared only after I told him I was going to make this case public. That makes the timing very questionable, especially since I had been asking for information about the shipment for weeks.
I also sell both on and outside eBay. If I sell an item and the buyer demonstrably never receives it, the buyer should not bear the loss. The shipping issue is between the seller and the carrier, not the customer.
I simply want my money back for an item I never received.
