Whatnot

Post by zargosh »

Just wondering if anyone on the board is selling on Whatnot? Seems like you could unload pretty much anything, as long as you consistently have a lot of merchandise and some kind of social media following. If you haven't seen it, check it out, it's interesting. Looks like a nice way to sell without having to spend hours listing everything...

I tuned into one of the auctions recently. I've purchased from popshop. But live selling wouldn't be my thing, I hate being on cam. Seem to be a better experience than IG lives...but I still think it's a painful experience tuning in for a few hours to buy one shirt.

I'm with you there, man. I haven't bought anything, I've just been kind of astonished at the shit that sells. I've seen people drop some reasonably serious coin on totally worthless tees, at least from my perspective.

Some of the shows, especially the late night stuff, seem to be more about the person selling--and the back and forth text/chatting from the bidders--than the actual goods that are being sold.
