70s/80s/90s Harley of Green Bay T-Shirt

Post by Noahthriftz »

Hello! My girlfriend snagged this at the local thrift and I was wondering if this is real (from the 70/80s) or is it just a modern reprint in some way. Shirt feels in too perfect condition. Same as the stitching. But I sent over pics to verify!

Re: 70s/80s/90s Harley Tee? legit check

Great snag! Def. not a modern reprint, would say it's 1970s. The WPL number connects it to a company based out of Pennsylvania, so not sure why the Green Bay connection, but blanks circulated everywhere.

your shirt is probably from an old Harley dealership that used to sit at 727 N Memorial Dr, Green Bay, Wisconsin.

A National Motorcycle Museum bio mentions a mechanic working at “Jim Arndt Harley Davidson of Green Bay” and “McCoy’s Harley Davidson, Green Bay”, suggesting the Green Bay Harley dealer went through different owners/names over the years but was the same basic location/operation.
