Hi! I need help with an appraisal on a vintage Lou Reed tee.
Any help with be appreciated
. It’s about 16.5 inches pit to pit and about 23 inches from shoulder to hem. There are two holes near the bottom. Bit of history, I purchased it from Wasteland in SF back in 2006

Interesting, we've had a number of Lou Reed submissions lately, which is awesome, but do search his name on tihs forum and check them out.
This one I would feel more confident saying it's legit - simply because the proper elements are there - back print, shadow. The print looks legit old, as does the tag, and the size is S - which I don't believe most counterfeitters would put a fake print on due to how small and 80s S actually is.
And if you really did purchase it back in 2006, then you are absolutely safe here. Fakes of these starting coming out in the 2007 era - and they weren't on SS tags.

Sorry, I guess I didn't answer your original Q.Noligrails wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2026 12:22 pm Hi Jimmy, thank you for your input! Much appreciated. Cheers!
I think somewhere in the $150-200 range given the size. But there are also a ton of fakes of these floating around, so might be a while before you get that $ if you listed it for sale.

No worries, thank you. Got it, so smaller vintage tees don’t sell as much as larger ones…learned something new! Thanks again, cheers!
