Re: Photographing Tees
That's a cool idea! I did a quick glance and found some cheaper alternatives on ebay (an arm that attaches on an existing stand or tripod) and found some other DIY solutions, but that definitely looks like the sturdiest. B&H also had a chrome version which was cheaper. http://www.bhphotovideo.co...

Re: Some Vintage Early 80’s band tees
I really dig that X shirt.
There was a X shirt from 1990 that sold for $50
But then there was another shirt "White girl", which is a song off their 1981 album Wild Gift, not sure if the shirt is from the same era, it went for $21.

Oddly enough, I found the same exact jacket today at the thrift store. Just like yours, it had no markings what so ever.

Re: 1440 label men's shirt
Never hear of "1440". I've similar fonts on shirts from the early 80s. Quick glance at ebay, someone attempted to sell a 1440 shirt, didn't sell for 99 cents.

Re: What's w/ all the vintage Americana in Malaysia/Phillipines?
I went to that Philly "Vintage Raghouse” about 2 years ago. It felt overpriced for what they offered. I didn’t buy anything. They had a lot of shirts with holes and stains, but not everything was that way. Going to a place like that takes away from the thrill of the hunt because, they run a vi...

Re: What's w/ all the vintage Americana in Malaysia/Phillipines?
Their t-shirt prices do seem extremely high. I guess it really depends on the selection. A good chunk of their prices seem to be inline with most thrift stores. If they truly have the volume inventory they claim, That's not bad. It would be refreshing to dig thru a pile of all vintage stuff instead ...

Re: Anyone heard of Velva Sheen?
Funny you mention that! My husband asked me recently how I can about t-shirts with no date and explained how most t-shirts were mostly made in the US until the very early 90s and how the change of "made in [insert country here]" on the labels coincided with NAFTA. I also went into stitchi...
