Mahagamage = Malarkey

These jerseys are popping up more and more often and being passed off as legit vintage. I did a little digging around and suspect Mahagamage is marketed at people in Japan given it commonly appears among Yahoo! Japan auctions. Another search highlights a gentleman by the name of Mahagamage who happens to be in the textile business. Perhaps a vintage-inspired side business to his flourishing used clothing operation. Although nowhere online is he directly linked to the t-shirt brand. But at least it’s made in the U.S. of A.

Below is what the seller of this item had to say in the description. Notice how many times they drive home the point of the shirt being real. A wee bit overkill? This has to be the most ridiculous description I have ever encountered for a t-shirt that clearly isn’t vintage. It has bids – hopefully, it doesn’t fetch a lot.
