Screen Stars

By the late 1970s, Fruit of the Loom pivoted to supply blank t-shirts to the booming screen printing industry. They decided to create branded blank tees marketed directly at screen printers. Previously their standard blanks just had generic tags with RN #13765 printed on them, but in 1980 the first branded Screen Stars tag was born.

So rare! Most likely the only one any of us will ever see! Has three small holes – the largest is on the back, and a little red screen ink from when the shirt was printed…in the 80s, punk shirts were usually hand screened by the bands themselves or one of their friends.
