Re: Help Identifying a "Rats" T-Shirt

I'm pretty sure this is just a late 80's/early 90's novelty t-shirt. If it was Boomtown Rats, it would probably say "Boomtown Rats", not just the common "Rats" with a rat on it. You could put Boomtown in the description, but most true fans will realize it's not likely a BR shirt,...

Re: Warning: Offensive T-Shirt. How to Market/Worth?

I've never sold a shirt like this, but think it may need to be relisted several times, or put in a store with the right keywords. The fact that it's a vintage Sneakers shirt/tag probably won't carry as much weight as it would for this target market (though I could be wrong). I'd put a BIN for $25, a...

Re: Holoubek Tag

I've only seen the black Holoubek tags, almost all on older HD shirts.

Re: Nike Basketball Camp T-Shirt

Be careful. I've been burned on Ebay by putting up great vintage shirts at low starting prices ($8-10), just assuming it would get bid up like they always used to. In the past few years, I've sold some gems with the shirt getting only one bid at the basement price, with few lookers. That's the huge ...

Re: Jerzees Grid Tag

I think it is from a deadstock blank. Why would someone go to the trouble of sewing a vintage tag on a shirt that has a 2010 tour date on the back? How are graphics... professional or basement quality? If you plan to sell, it might turn off some buyers who want "official" licensed tour mer...

Re: PayPal holding funds until feedback left?

It's annoying for the seller, but that's to prevent someone opening up shop, hawking a bunch of bootleg product (or no product at all) removing the funds then moving on. Then rinse & repeat. In the past year, I've had my Paypal acct hacked into twice (first time ever in 12 yrs). Second time was ...

Re: HNNCO?

I believe that's Hanco brand, not HNNCO. I agree, probably late 70's or very early 80's.

They're Chicago based, and still in business...

Re: Joe Camel Tee - Help with tag?!

I found this Joe Camel shirt over the weekend. Has anyone seen this tag before? The tag name is Silkworm. I had like 4 old Joe Camel shirts with this same label, and like an idiot included 2 of them in a cheap unsold lot years ago :( . I still have them boxed up somewhere. Need to look for them now.

Longtime Collector.....New To Defunkd

I'm a longtime collector and online seller. Like many here, I concur that finding good vintage t's is getting harder to come by. Thrift stores near me are full of tacky family reunion t's, used modern retro vintage t's, country and nascar t's (almost unsellable at any price), and collegiate t's (aga...
