Freddy and RATMS Tshirt from the 90s

Post by dt00001 »

Hi all, I'm after a price check on a couple of T-shirts which I bought back in the 80s/90s if possible, please.

They are both XL and were far too big for me back then (I was 11 in 1990), so weren't worn very much and my mother, back in around 1997, used them as filling/stuffing for a big cushion thing that she bought. Whilst going through her stuff last year we found them in said cushion and I took them with the intention of wearing them ...but annoyingly they're still far too big for me so I'm looking for what would be a fair price to sell them.

Any guidance on selling is also greatly appreciated. I'm London (UK) based.

Neither have any holes/tears anywhere as far as I can spot. unfortunately I only saw the post guidance after taking/transferring my photos, so I don't have any close up of the hems atm (I can add them later if needed) but none have any tears/holes etc. The black colour isn't faded either, they seem to look lighter in the photos than irl. Both are around 22' pit to pit and 28' shoulder to bottom hem. The prints are both pretty good too, not much cracking etc.

What I know:

Nightmare Tshirt - purchased around 1990, possibly in the Uk channel Islands. I've found one on Etsy which was going for ~£480 last year and is still on there now going for around £320, so I guessing they may be over valuing it there.

RATM Tshirt - I've only found one example of this in black online and that says it's from 1994 (which would make sense as I was into them around then but had moved away from that kind of stuff by 95, so I Probably wouldn't have bought it much later than that). They seem to have release the same print on a maroon T some time later but couldn't find any previous sales info etc at all about the black ~1994 Tshirt iteration.

The first 4 pics are the nightmare on elms street T and the rest are of the Rage T. Thanks in advance for any help!

Glad you packed them away. The RATM Molotov tee just sold for $800 in March, but then the sales that follow dip down into the $250 range - which is odd. Maybe that $800 sale wasn't legit. I would list it for $1000 with offers.

And I found the exact shirt, tag and all, for Krueger - sold in 2023 for $300 USD. That one you could probably expect around the same, maybe slightly less since the market has come down since?

(Please note: Legit checks I do in this forum should not be considered 100% conclusive; I'm simply giving a gut reaction based on the limited information provided.)
