God Save The Queen t shirt - 1980s?

Post by FrankKnuckles »

Could anyone offer a price check on this tee/give me some idea of date? I suspect it might be 1980s...

I picked this up off a Vivienne Westwood collector recently who acquired it from another collector in 2000 (so it’s at least 25 years old). I know the design is the same as the Seditionaries one but doesn’t have the markings/labels of an original.

P2P is 19", length is 22".

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, this particular niche is something I don't dabble in. The lines between what's real and what's fake have been completely blurred. No one trusts anyone's opinion when it comes to authentication, either. :(

Yeah that's fair enough. My gut is telling me it's highly unlikely to be anything out of the original boutique, but instead a fairly old repro (I'm thinking 80s).

I still think there is a market for it based on what I can see on the eBay research tool, given its age etc.

I was going to try for £200 or best offer on eBay - does that sound ridiculous to you? What would you do in my situation?

If it is real there are some collectors who can ID it and might buy direct, poke around on IG.

Someone recently came to me with a stash of these, they put them on eBay, and I was like...good luck. Ended up turning into drama - I really don't know what the best thing to do with them is. The 2000s era is when the counterfeitting was at an all time high and there was an infamous bust/court battle.
