Liquid Blue Crucifixion legit check/curious about people's thoughts
Hi all, I saw this one posted and am curious about people's thoughts on it. I actually collect vintage Gustave Doré art tees and have seen >20 of this tee before, but none that were double stitched. Aside from that, I'm also suspicious of the lack of a tag, somewhat unnatural looking wear, and some minor print differences compared to legit ones I've owned (see the last images for one of mine). I've never seen a halfway passable fake of any Liquid Blue Doré tees, but the blank also doesn't seem to match the general shape of any LB tees as far as I'm aware. I'm assuming its a newer print that was artificially aged or possibly just a vintage bootleg, but any other opinions would be greatly appreciated

The first one is different from the one below, I'm not sure it's original

Lots of red flags, double stitching vs single - yours is missing colors, correct colors, possibly even missing a screen or two.
A shirt like this would be a nightmare to reproduce, given the high quality of the print and detailed art.
Interestingly, though, when I do focus on certain print details, they look decently accurate. But the photos also aren't great quality.
Far off chance it was a more modern reissue by the company-test print (not sure if they reissued this one though!)
Do you have the shirt in your possession? If so, can you take a super high-quality shot of just the front image details so I can compare the art properly?
In a cases like this we'd also send it to LB to take a look.
But it's so problematic that you'd always have a hard time convincing someone looking to buy one of these that it was legit.

Re: Liquid Blue Crucifixion legit check/curious about people's thoughts
Thanks for the input. I unfortunately don't have it in my possession so I can't send any better pictures. From what I can tell, though, the print itself actually looks almost completely accurate aside from differences in the colors and a few weird issues with the placement of the "Liquid Blue" and "Dore" logos. The most noticeable is that the Liquid Blue logo is way too far away from the horse's leg on the bottom of the front. I included pictures of the placement on one of mine and 2 others I know are legit. To me the wear also looks pretty artificial so I'm leaning towards saying its some type of high quality modern remake that was artificially aged, but I've never seen any fakes of these so I'm not sure.jimmyj wrote: ↑Sun Aug 24, 2025 10:04 am Lots of red flags, double stitching vs single - yours is missing colors, correct colors, possibly even missing a screen or two.
