Kurt Cobain Giant L tee authentication

Post by Cody1988 »

My husband passed away in 2023 and within about 6 months I had to move out of our storage unit and do a claim on a few luggage bags that got wet from a roof leak. In one of the luggage bags folded nicely (my husband was pretty and damn clean!) I found this tshirt. I’ve never seen it before which caught me by surprise and although I’m not a huge nirvana fan (don’t hate me. I do love Dave grohl though) i decided to keep it bc my husband loved nirvana. I gave all of his clothes away and was sure I threw this in the bag only to find it again a few months later.

Anyways enough with that. Just wanted authentication. It does not say the day the music died which I’ve seen in some photos. It’s def grunge, worn and faded. But to me it looks perfect. My husband would never wear a ripped shirt though so I thought it was pretty ironic that hed even own this.

I did a google image shirt to find out it might be worth something. Either way I’ve been thinking about giving it to his teenage daughter with whom he was estranged from due to his relationship with her mother.

Please tell me your thoughts!!
Authentic or fail?

I appreciate you

Much love

Sorry to hear.

I think it's okay - I mean I can't imagine someone going through the trouble of framing a counterfeit. It's a little tough to tell because the details are behind glass. But the tag doesn't seem to match any fakes.

It's also the "extra heavyweight" tag which has some slight differences from it's heavyweight version.

The daughter idea is wonderful!
