Early White Zombie

Post by bsheldon1 »

Hi everybody! This is my first time actually posting on here, so forgive me if I’m doing something wrong. I picked up two really early white zombie shirts off eBay, and this one in particular feels really off, almost like it’s an iron on transfer, is this something that would’ve been around at the time? Or did I get got?

Can you include a photo of the front of the tag?

The shirt itself is definitely vintage, I’m mostly just worried it’s a modern print on a vintage blank, never seen a band use any kind of iron on, and it’s definitely not screen printed, everything else he had seems legit though

re:tag - The red marks on the left and the diagonal nature of the black looks like it could be a screen stars tag.

THAT said, the neckline is raw, which doesn't track with screen stars, nor did they have that raised DS collar.

The back of the tag also looks like the back of an SS tag - if you want to post a better photo.

What's the pit to pit?

It doesn't look like a transfer but could be DTG if it doesn't feel right.

Little over 19” pit to pit,

Here’s some better photos of the print itself, is it possible for a screen printed tee to really have this texture? It’s a bit scaly, and it’s peeling up in a part
