Dead By 23

I was always a fan of the Dead By 23 bands. The look was very fluid, very Linas Garsys. Of course, when you have one guy doing ALL the layouts, and that person does damn good work, of course the end products are going to come out great. Take this longsleeve from Jeremy D could tell us all about the font. But here’s what I know: it’s fucking chill. Yeap, that’s what I know. Grab this one and relive those early 2ks in style.

ps. What’s Linas up to these days?

I’m sure other peeps can chime in, but being the fucking Linas-art geek that I am, I can tell you a few things. He’s been doing art for HC bands still, did the amazing Skull Crusher cover, the work on Ruiner’s last record, the As We Let Go cover and various other things. I know he works at the paper in DC and does a bunch of stuff with Bob Mould and the Blowoff stuff. Also, he just had an art show up in Canada somewhere, good stuff.

linas lives up near me in baltimore. Every once in a while we meet up for a beer. He did those gut instinct shirts for the fall brawl show i did last year. But jay hit it on the head.

Jay, if you’re interested, I have a test print of the Mass Grave box set that Linas did the art for. I’m sure you know that story of the box set already… I got the test print from Dave Sausage. Holla if you’re interested rickjefferson@gmail.com
