Floorpunch 96

I contemplated NOT posting this because I want it. Yeah, it’s a great shirt, no doubt. but because the seller specifically mentioned the site and my name, I feel I have an obligation to answer his question (ps. Good thing he didn’t mention Morgado. That dude would lie through his teeth in order to get this shirt for himself at a cheaper rate … Or not).

t is an exact copy of their very first shirt, just with a different color ink (and if I’m wrong, I suspect that Murphy or Casali will correct me via https://defunkd.com/staging/)

The seller is 100% correct on this one. It’s the exact same shirt, just green instead of blue. I’m not sure if it was screened on the same screens as the original. As I recall, the first shirts were screened up in Brett’s kitchen (Mr In My Blood Records himself). These green inked shirts were certainly printed up at the TDT shop. We’d have to get some verification from those two sources (Brett and Geoff) on whether the same screen was used. Of course, most people won’t care for that much detail, but you know how nerdy the we the TTD crew can be… Safe to say, the shirt is a fucking smart look no matter what color it comes in. And for a bonus, it comes in a size that isn’t a qualifier in the “dress or shirt” game. Perhaps Bill Wend owns one in a real human size, but I’ve only ever seen the originals in two sizes: giant and ridiculously giant.

If you don’t snatch up this tee, you know I will!

  1. I had a HUGE one, unfortunately, that got ripped up at a show (one of three FP shirts I lost at shows over the years).

I have this both as a reprint and an OG, both with blue print. While green is not my first choice, that is a good look

  3. morgado. says:

I object to the implication that I would fabricate information to acquire anything less than a FP on gold.

The originals were printed by TDT, and if I know Geoff, the same screens were used for these jobs. He also reprinted them a few years back with the original blue ink, but on light gray shirts (almost white). Also, this is not the first FP shirt. The first shirts were the Raw Deal rips printed by Dan H.

PS: I kept one OG and it is giant and in need of an Oxy Clean treatment. I’m pretty sure we made L and XL, maybe a few special order XXLs.

PPS: It was the Hardware shirts that were screened in Geoff’s kitchen (pre-TDT).

Here’s the low-down on this shirt, I work at TDT.

These were made for the European tour but there was a fuck up with paper work and probably half of the total merch were held in Germany for a couple weeks. Total bummer. When they got back we sold a bunch of leftovers at United Blood and then the rest at the SFU Showcase. The original re-make of this was for TIH 09. It was Blue ink on ice grey AAA shirts. Not a bunch were made. Totally sold out there. Then these were made for europe. Good amount, more then 100. I’m pretty sure there are a handful left over. Along with other stuff. Maybe one day it’ll go on the webstore. Who knows with Geoff haha.

PS. They aren’t from the same screen, but Geoff busted out the exact films from the past so this is as close as it gets to original!

I want a piece of the action!
