For The Emo: Joan Of Arc & Braid

Unbeknownst to me, Joan Of Arc is STILL a band. Who knew?? I remember someone pushing this band hard in the late 90s, but it never sank in for me. Maybe I’ll give it a second go around, see if my tastes have veered this way in 13 years. It’s possible. The same for Braid. I remember one or two good tracks, some heavier ones, but I can’t recall much else. Perhaps worth a revisit? Grab these shirts (soon) from Pissed Jeans) collection. How about that?

I love the “custom rockabilly” and
“guatamalen tunic” next to the Rain on The Parade and life love regret longsleeves.

Brian, check out The Sky Corvair which had Braid and Cap’n Jazz members

They only did one cd but I think it is better than most of the stuff either band did

Not a JOA fan at all but I used to rock that Braid tee for a better part of the nineties. Frame and Canvas and The Age of Octeen are great records. Also the song on the Corm split…fuck.

Braid was great. Kind of Jazz June sound. JoA never did anything for me. Just cant hang with the voice
