Fred Perry: Man Up

What do you know about Fred Perry? Here’s a couple of factoids for those shirts you’ve been sporting for years now. Fred Perry is an actual person. Yeap, that’s right. A real person. Not only that, but he was a 3 time Wimbledon Champion WAY back in the 30s. Tennis. That’s right, Tennis.

Now here are a couple of factoids about Fred Perry polos. #1 rule in Fred Perrys. Bootlegs rule ebay. Chances of getting a real shirt on ebay is about 2%. Seriously, worst place to buy a Fred. Take this first shirt. The seller claims it’s “100% Authnetic.” And that’s a direct quote from the auction. You can pretty much guarantee it’s fake.

Next up. This one almost looks legit, right? Check again. #2 rule about Fred Perry polos. The buttons are ALWAYS the same color as the shirt. I know this rule applies to all solid color polos. I’m not positive on striped shirts or some of the weirdo collabs. So see those non-matching buttons? Legit? Hell no.
