I am emotionally torn about this Guns N Roses NJ Summer Jam 1988 shirt being sold by kcatman77. On the one hand, the front of it? Totally, totally awesome. The combination of the cross logo and rose wrapped pistols rules hard, and is something you don’t see very often. Plus you get the 1988 Tour mention on there as well, and you all know how much we dig that sort of thing.
The flip side of that, quite literally, is the back of the shirt…
Yikes. The top logo would have been fine on it’s own, but this is where making a tour/show specific shirt bites us in the ass, as Deep Purple, Aerosmith, and Giants Stadium all got shoe horned on to the back in an obnoxious manner and in a color scheme that clashes with the rest of the shirt. It just plain doesn’t work together, and it turns a colossal win into an almost colossal bum out. Maybe get it and just wear it with an open zip up…
Dude. The drawing of Giant Stadium on the back is SO awful it’s kinda awesome. I want a shirt w/ just that on it.
pretty sure this is one of those “sold outside the venue” boots that were big in the late 80’s-mid 90’s. The print is bad even for 1988.
