Okay I’m going to get this out there and then you can all boo me. I am a big Soundgarden fan. I think they were highly underrated and overshadowed by Pearl Jam and Nirvana. To me they are what the Seattle sound is. That is all I’m going to say, but believe me I will rant about this the next time I post a Soundgarden shirt. This particular shirt Princeton.

![[PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, ENTIRELY!] 🛑 In the past few years, this image has appeared on IG, with a dire warning alluding to the idea that these are a new wave of counterfeit tags.
There's a Reddit thread devoted to this image and the OP falsely claims they are "the next tag that is getting mass-produced in..."
[📛UPDATE: I've had a few users from Malaysia contact me, saying to get "your facts straight." The above quote mentioning Malaysia is from a user on REDDIT and was used to highlight the misinformation about this photo.
We do not believe this tag was made in Malaysia, and never did. We used that quote from Reddit to showcase the false information floating around.

Another Reddit user comments, "They are starting to get really good."
Here's the thing, though: These appear to be real. The quality of the photo isn't great, and I can't get a great view of the logo, but from what I can see, everything checks out.
They definitely don't match the Brockum fake that's been circulating for year.
They are likely an unused roll of actual Brockum tags from the 1990s.
Given the age of the photo and the accuracy of this tag, it's highly unlikely that these are fake.
Granted, in the wrong hands, they could still be used for evil if applied to bootleg t-shirts.
But this is why you shouldn't solely rely on the tag to authenticate. We know that counterfeiters swap in authentic tags.
We've been looking into this image for a while now. It first appeared about four years ago.
We haven't been able to find the original source of the image. If you happen to have any leads, please DM us, and we'll continue to investigate.
