Stand & Fight Was Boring

Stand And Fight was boring. This is what I’ve learned from Coke Bust logo on.” I don’t know about you, but that seems like a dick move. It’s one thing if you are slaying Brokencyde or Attack Attack, that I can get behind. But throwing stones at your peers? Can’t hang.

With members from Ten Yard Fight, Carry On, Terror, No Reply … I’m not sure how Stand & Fight could have topped any of those, you know? Comparing any of those original bands to follow on bands would be difficult. Granted, I don’t think I ever saw this band play live. As I recall, they were almost exclusively west coast. But that LP had some jams. They weren’t setting the world on fire, but then again, is Coke Bust? I don’t know. But this one is apparently a one of one.

stand & fight was def not good. coke bust is a much better band plus they’re supporting recycling.

  2. Matthew Botvin says:

Stand & Fight was good, that windbreaker was awesome. Still have mine.

I saw STAND AND FIGHT with SLAPSHOT, HATEBREED, NO WARNING, PANIC and BLOOD FOR BLOOD at B.T.S.J.

They were in fact quite boring. Good show though.

I’m going to have to agree on this one. Whatever that band was called in the short time before they changed the name to Stand and Fight was good. I enjoyed that demo, whatever it was called. Then BOOM. Boring.

Stand and Fight was boring as shit. Coke bust is not … new 7″ out now on GRAVE MISTAKE: http://www.gravemistakerecords.com. I would also listen to both brokencyde and attack attack over stand and fight.

    @Casali — Impact.

  7. jimmie says:

stand and fight were awesome , they played posi numbers 04 and it was a great set.

coke bust is ok but they are nothing special.

  8. jim c says:

Agree with casali, the impact demo was awesome but after that not so much.

  9. getdown87 says:

This is on the “recording over another bands demo with your own” tip but way more next level. Why would you name your band after a statue of a coca cola can though?

not a diss on stand and fight. here’s the real story…

we knew this slob of a man named rich who didn’t pay his electric bill and got kicked out of a group house some of us were living in. he left all his clothes in a pile and we tested out the screen on all of his clothes. this busted ass stand and fight windbreaker came up (along with the “RECYCLE OR DIE” ,GREEN PEACE, and various “GO VEGAN” shirts and you know we screened all of them, put them into a paper bag and sold them on tour for $2 each. They were a big hit and we sold out of them on the 1st day of tour. We thought the stand and fight windbreaker was too cool to sell, so our friend justin held onto it for a long time. this windbreaker is very cool and i hope it sells for a lot of money.

ten yard fight rules, but i don’t know about S&F. this wasn’t meant to be a diss, just recycling.

NEW 7″ ON GRAVE MISTAKE RECORDS YO!

The best band mentioned in this is attack attack

  13. b. murphy says:

Thanks for the full story, Nick. Appreciated.

Coke Bust is a band I’ve listened to on the regular since 2007. One of my favorite current hardcore bands

Both Stand and Fight and Resist were kind of boring and fizzled out. Something was just missing I guess. Don’t hold a candle to TYF. But, I thought the Coke Bust LP was boring too (sorry nicktape!). The EP’s are good though, looking forward to the new one, great story about the shirts!

  16. justin says:

I guess I should have made it clear that I’m not or wasn’t in Coke Bust. Just friends and screened their stuff for them during that time. TYF was cool, but couldn’t hang with S&F. Not trying to be a dick, just trying to make some of those listings more interesting or putting something to laugh (or shake your head for murphy) at in them.

  17. kcbones says:

I’m suprised so many people dislike S&F. Together we win was a good album, the other one wasn’t as good, Resist was also a really good band I thought. I guess I’m just a sucker for the wrench. And BTW coke bust is awesome, one of my favorite current bands.

  18. bob says:

Isn’t the impact demo all about the one dude in tyf breaking edge?
If so that’s not boring at all
The only thing I remember about stand and fight was seeing the record cover and wondering if they ever saw the time flies cover from a couple years prior

  19. Casali says:

Just to clarify, I LOVED the Impact demo.

  20. boardman says:

    love coke bust.
we played with them in a pub in leeds and they blew me away so much i bought a cd and a shirt….can’t remember the last time i did that for a band i hadn’t heard of before!!

    stand and fight…not so much.
