True Blue (not AJ3s)

Dudes go crazy for this bands shit. Shirts are so popular. Did the have this kinda status when they were around or did this all happen post breakup? i have a shirt that looks kinda like this but it has US tour dates on the back. I picked it up when they played at the “Hangover House” in CT. small show, not too many people but I was impressed and copped the merch and a 7″. Good to see people havent forgotten about them

the only True Blue shirt i have is a rip-off of an Icemen design that Crucial Response made when they first started. i almost saw them play in MD at some house but i had to bail to catch a flight :(

They were around when the whole Youth Crew scene in Europe was in full swing. Mainstrike, Sportswear, etc. I remember an interview where one of the members of the band said they got a lot of shit for not looking the part at that time. I think they were wearing Leeway shirts and Motorhead shirts (if I remember correctly), and that wasn’t considered cool. Getting al these wird reactions at Ieper fest and such. Could be wrong about it being Ieper, but that’s what comes to mind.

They got a lot of shit in Europe, because they always behaved like total dicks. Noone cared for the shirts they were wearing, it was the thing to do in the 90s to wear cheesy-ass metal shirts on stage.
