Seller s-king-sickboy brings us a SOIA shirt that I’ve never seen before, and am actually surprised to hear is from 1995/96.
I was totally expecting this to be some 91/92 era merch, what with the Yankees/dragon combo logo and the Calvin on the back. It’s vibe is way more We Stand Alone/Just Look Around than it is Scratch The Surface. But hey, given that real, non-metal hardcore was making a comeback right around the time this shirt was apparently sold, it makes perfect sense. Or you can be a party pooper and just figure when the seller bought it, it was simply left over from years prior. You dick.
Seriously though, if anyone knows the deal with this one, throw us a comment.

I remember the Dragon coupled w/ The Yankee logo being way popular in my era of loving SOIA which extended to but NOT beyond “Scratch The Surface”. I saw them MANY times in MANY place in CT, NY, NJ, MA and owned a few pieces of SOIA gear, hence i’d spent some time at their merch table and I can honestly say I DO NOT remember this shirt which is whatever…I’m a pothead, I don’t remember a lot of things BUT this is something I would have mos def remembered seeing. #CoolStoryBro

I swear to God I bought it in 95 or 96….I was shock to see it at the merch table too…..I picked it up from Mia who was Lou’s girlfriend and main merch table girl! I got boxes of old hardcore and Straight Edge shirts going up soon! Baby #2 on the way and I need to room and the cash!!!! In my 30’s and still edge too, so it is not a selling out thing!
Speaking of SOIA swag from the 90’s I have a B-Boy style Ravers hat thing I got like a year or 2 before this shirt…it is classic Hip-hop influnced bad fashion at its best….if host of this site would like a picture of it I will glad to send one, just send me an email! PS this shirt might have been from their Show at the Black Cat in DC with Ignite…..same time period, I need to flip thru some flyers!
I owned this shirt at one time. I purchased it at a SOIA show at the Paradise, if memory serves me right, it was in the Spring of 1993.
Aleast the time frame was close! Maybe it was a lost box from the year before or maybe my dates are wrong on when I got it! I have seen these guys so many times… I just remember getting 2 and wearing the hell out of one and forgetting about this one until about 2 weeks ago!
PS more on other SOIA swag…they had some of the best hats too…..I have the Yankees logo Dragon hat in Blue and White…Classic, I remember the Hockey Jersey (thin mesh jersey) from about 1996….I need to find that and post a picture of it! That was a rare find in deed!!!!
