I’m not sure if the back of this shirt is an essay or a manifesto. If you have about 30 minutes, you can read the whole shirt. That’s a lot of text to put on the back of a shirt. You could probably sit through an entire band’s set reading this thing and still not finish. But here’s a little kicker. See that dreadlocked fellow with the bass guitar? Yeah, that’d be Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy. Put that in your vegan, straight edge pipe and chant over it. Of course, that singer would be Kurt Catalyst. I was supposed to get an interview with him a while back. Lots of solid vegan, straight edge questions. But guess what happened? My connection, Big Bob, forgot about it. D’oh.

Midnight Metallica on Metal Monday.

Midnight marks the official end of this week’s Metal Monday, and we start it the same we began it: overseas. Singapore seller benlovechanel has got a very vintage Metallica “Sad But True” tee for us… love that alternate back print.

edit: the above tee was pulled well before the auction was slated to end, so I figured I might as well add in this other Metallica tee that the seller just put up. It’s less impressive, but hopefully it will stay up a little longer… pretty sure the first one was taken down before this post published.

Attn Hairoholics!

Don’t blame me for that one, blame seller kittylove*, who starts off each of their metal tee auctions with that horrifyingly awkward word. It’s so terrible, I might start using it every week. Even worse, this sick W.A.S.P. tee featuring Blackie Lawless as Rambo is marred with a crappy autograph from the drummer… who seriously even knows the name of W.A.S.P’s drummer? Only a hairoholic I suppose.

Maiden Dubai June 2007.

Ordinarily, an Iron Maiden tee from post 1993 or so probably wouldn’t be anything we’d post here on Metal Monday. But this 2007 tee being sold by dpr10 is actually a total throwback to the Eddie festooned Maiden tees of the 80s… it’s not as crazy as some of those were, but I’m still into it.
