That Man Had Sole
As tributes to DJ AM continue surface on club exteriors, interiors, billboards and events – each one is a new testament to the great man he was. The most recent news in the AM legacy is a charity auction for his legendary sneaker collection with 100% of the proceeds going towards the DJ AM Memorial Fund.
This video is a guided home/sneaker-collection tour by the man himself. Keep in mind, it was filmed two years ago so it has since increased from 600 to nearly 900 pairs.
I know you’re probably wondering what the fate of his vintage t-shirt collection will be, I know I was. I just got word directly from the family that no decision regarding that portion of his wardrobe has been made. In the mean time we’re in the process of putting something together something special to honor the man, so stay tuned.
![[ LINK IN BIO ] Here are three more tags often suspected of being fake. Cygnus, College Lane and Vogel. Cygnus is a product of the very late 1990s – perhaps even 1999. It saw most of its action in the early to mid-2000s, so it’s been entering vintage classification for at least 3 years now. College Lane has thrown us for a loop over the years. After doing a deep dive we found it's been around since the 1970s - but they also dabbled in retro prints in the 1990s and early 00s. To make things even more confusing we also found a t-shirt with this tag dated 2007. Vogel, often thought to be a retro tag, like Junk Food, is actually vintage - and it typically appears on specialty tees - in unique colors - or ones with camo or ringer t-shirts.
